She started her career in the business travel industry. After 8 years she switched her job to the banking industry where she worked in several positions for 7 years. During her years in the business travel industry she started as business consultant and worked her way up to senior consultant and office manager for VCK travel and BCD Travel. In that period, she studied Middle Management after working hours. Setting up working procedures according to ISO 9001, planning, coaching, reporting and sales activities were part of her job. With her passion for human health, she decided to continue her career as MRI lab assistant, project and quality officer at Scannexus in Maastricht. Scannexus is an Ultra-High-Field MRI expertise center. Projects like implementing ISO 13485, setting up a quality and project management software system, enrolling courses, helping (clinical) study groups with MRI planning and coordinating the lab environment facilities were her responsibility. As she wanted to be even closer to the impact of human health, she started at Corporis Medical, a start-up that focuses on the development and commercialization of innovative medical devices for minimally invasive surgery. She started as project manager and eventually got promoted to clinical project-and operations manager. She worked in several disciplines like quality compliance, supply chain, sales, manufacturing, clinical trials, financing, operation planning, strategy, development and engineering. She contributed for the first in human and she submitted for regulatory CE marking (EU, MDR) and 510(K) (USA, FDA).
"The human body is a very interesting and complex living thing on this planet. I’ve always been curious in human health and solutions to either cure or prevent health problems. It is an honor to contribute to a product that will help people with cartilage repair, eventually aimed to prevent osteoarthritis. This is close to my heart, as the disease runs in my family."
