Hy2Care® featured in Mediahuis NRC article on regenerative medicine
Mediahuis NRC recently published an article, in collaboration with Brightlands Chemelot Campus, about the growing importance of regenerative medicine and the shift from repairing damage towards helping the body restore damaged tissue.
Hy2Care® and its CartRevive® hydrogel implant are featured as an example of this approach. The article shares the story of Bob, one of the patients who participated in Hy2Care’s ACTIVE clinical study after suffering cartilage damage in his knee. Six months after treatment, Bob started running again and three months later completed a 12.5 km trail run.
The article also highlights the importance of collaboration within the Brightlands ecosystem in bringing medical innovations from research towards clinical application.
