Ron Coenen graduated as a Business Economics student from the Fontys Hogeschool in Eindhoven in 2003. He joined the grants consultancy company TRIAS in 2002 as an intern and after his international internship in Aruba joined the team as junior advisor.
Together with the owners at that time he’s built the company and broadened its services from the public sector to the private sector. Thereby growing from junior advisor to department leader and senior advisor for this part of the company. In 2016 he acquired TRIAS becoming the CEO/CFO of a consultancy agency currently consisting of a team of 18 advisors.
From his work at TRIAS he constantly works with startups and scale up companies building new products and strategies. Major part of this work is defining business cases, writing business plans and what we call financial engineering and finding the right financial mix (e.g. grants) in order to bring the companies from A to B.
In 2015 he got connected to Hy2Care and helped to build their first successful grant application thereby setting the first step toward building it’s business. During all these years Ron helped the team with subsequent financing, after which in 2020 he joined Hy2Care as interim CFO, responsible for compliance, funding strategy and financial monitoring including compliance.
“I love to work on technology which can make a difference in tomorrow’s world, and Hy2Care is such a company. From the very early start in 2015 until now I see the major progress and hope to see the injectable hydrogel being introduced in humans quickly and hereby adding to a longer and healthier life of many!”
